Can an character with a reach of 10ft the 4 squares that are 2 squares diagonally away from him. To do this he needs reach of 15ft. But on the other hand- if you approach an opponent with a reach weapon you never enter threatened his area. If it's an large opponent or one with an exeptional reach he would not get an AoO against you. Which is funny beacause in real situation it wouldn't matter where you're approuching him from!

It sounds like you are confusing the rules for tactical movement and reach. When you talk about a creatures reach it is declinated in terms of feet. The same is true for spells, ranged weapons etc. However tactical movement, that is movement with in rounds of combat is declinated in squares. One square being roughly equivilent to 5 feet. When moving tactically yes your second diagonal counts as 2 squares of movement however you are still only moveing 5 feet. It just costs you the equivilent of 10 feet. So no you can't sneak into a reach creature range on diagonals, however you can always move 5 feet without provoking attacks of opportunity.

Actually if you have a 10ft reach then you do threaten across two diagnals or essentially 15ft. Thus you can make AoO against an opponent 2 diagonals away.

You didnt get me. What I meant was that 10ft reach includes the diagonally ajasent sqares to you, but not the next diagonal square. In other words does a medium character with 10ft threaten 12 or 16 sqares(if the later is true he theatens 15X15 sqare centered on him).
If he theatens only 12 then if move diagonally towardas an enemy with 10ft reach you will enter the diagonally ajacent sqare to him without enteringor leaving any other squre he threatens.

There are diagrams in the 3.5 PH that make this clear.

A medium creature with 10' reach (say, from a spiked chain), threatens a square 25' on a side - 25 squares on the standard grid, including his own. Yes, this includes the corner squares. A medium creature with a reach weapon like a glaive threatens the boarder of that 25x25' square, or 16 squares on the grid.

When you count movement, you do, indeed, count the first diagonal as one square, and the second as two. When you determine reach, though, there is an exception, and the second square is counted as being 10' away from the character. You can think of this as the second square conting as two - one of which is threatened, if that makes it easier.

a medium character may threaten 25 squares (with a reach weapon) - the 1 he's standing in, a Large character (without a reach weapon) who has 10ft reach, threatens 36 squares - the 4 he is standing in = 32 squares of threatening space... give a medium PC a spiked chain, Enlarge Person him, and he threatens a 48 square area...

The DMG has the space and reach tables page 308
