02-28-06, 08:19 AM Charging doesn't normally provoke an AoO. Leaving a threatened square provokes an AoO.

02-28-06, 08:54 AM If your opponent has a reach weapon and you don't then you will indeed exit a threatened square during the charge. So you do take a AoO, but not specifically due to the charge.

02-28-06, 02:47 PM Thanks guys. I had answered my own question just after i posted ( by examining the AoO table in the PHB, doh). Always interseting to hear your thoughts though.

It says:
"The charge attack would provoke an attack of opportunity from the longspear as the enemy moved out of a threatened square"
