| MisterMan12-26-05, 12:24 PM | Hello everybody! I have a question about the "Wrathful Healing" weapon enchantment. It is in the "Enemies and Allies" 3.0 book, on a sidebar at page number 20. It says that whenever you damage somebody, you gain half that much life. Then let's say that I own a +1 flaming shocking wrathful healing greatsword. I would be dealing 2D6+Strength modifier damage, plus 2D6 elemental damage. How would the elemental damage work with the Wrathful Healing property? Would i only gain half the 2D6+STR damage in life, or would i also gain half the 2D6 elemental damage in life? I'm asking because the description is very vague. Hope somebody know what to do. ;) Thanks |

| MasterOfPsychic12-26-05, 04:27 PM | Depends ENTIRELY on your DM, and not us... But I'd say ALL damage, if it is a hi-power/fancy game, but only normal (2d6 + STR) if trying to aquire a little realism |

Were someone to use a wrathful healing weapon in a campaign that I run, I'd only let the base weapon damage, modifiers to damage (from enchantment, specialization, strength, etc.), and possibly sneak attack damage apply for Wrathful healing. I guess for elemental damage I don't see it as being the weapon itself that's dealing the damage, it's the fire, or lightning, or whatever. |
