Essenitally first time around its treated a d6 and later d8 damage; so above your standard unarmed strike. My question is woulf this damage stack with a monks unarmed attack damage; ie. progress the damage dice up a level (from d6-d8-d10-2d6-2d8-2d10 etc) and can it be combined as part of a flurry of blows (which can use any part of the body for a attack)? Also I am considering this from a DM perspective so maybe trading off not been able to use the foot talons as a normal attack for one attack with monk unarmed damage bonus applied... I have been thinking about it for some time and no one has really been able to point me in the right direction; thoughts? |

However, you can add the natural attack as a secondary attack during your full-round attack, with a -5 penalty, or a -2if you have the multi-attack feat. The official FAQ is putting some limits to this though. It seems that if you can make your full round attack with a one handed weapon and use your secondary attack, you can do the same with the Monk Unarmed Strike. So an Half-Dragon would have his Unarmed Strike flurry of blow, plus a claw and a bite. But since it's specifically detailed that Unarmed Strike can be done with a full hand or any other body part (forehead, elbow, knee, foot), then I personally don't see why you should loose the second claw attack. It'd be up to your DM to decide it. |
