First, what's with the color? It hurts the eyes, it does.

Second; several tons of granite in the form of a mausoleum are a classic item that does this. Usually including a coffin.

11-16-04, 03:51 AM There is basically "vampire sunblock" in Libris Mortis. It lasts for an hour I think. I can't remember the name. It's in the magic items section of that book. I think it's kind of stupid, personally, and won't be using it in my games.

11-16-04, 12:49 PM Keep in mind that we're dealing with undead monsters in a medieval fantasy world, not with Anne Rice rejects in an ex-post-modern one. Sunlight isn't a bundle of EM radiation filtered through an ozone layer, it's the benevolent gaze of Pelor (or whatever, take your pick). If a vampire shows his face in the light of day, he should get what's commin' to him - zinc oxide not withstanding.

11-16-04, 01:41 PM He could seal himself in a portable hole, if he had one lying around... or you could take a clue from D20 modern, drop a couple of special abilities and call him a daywalker. I like the latter myself.

11-16-04, 05:33 PM In one of the high end modules there is a set of Goggles with the special ability to take a Full Round Action while under the effects of Sunlight, but they were still destroyed if they did not get out of the sunlight.

oh and it means nothing, not really a clue unless you look so deep you fabricate one for yourself, see, my post was at 5:09am and i was tired, i had accidently selected 'em' and gave it a different color, then i laughed to myself and then saw that if i also changed the color of p and ire it would be empire then i looked for something else to color and it ended up being 'a tan'. so there you go, means nothing.
