| CruelDM11-04-04, 06:47 PM | Im pretty sure you cant do that, mage hand (without looking) states something about being able to fling a weapon/item 15 feet in general direction as a move action, and never says nor implies that this "flinging" is an attack form. At best, at the DMs option, the spell could fling a dagger from the maximum range of the spell an additional 15 feet as an attack. Im pretty sure this is a close range spell (25 feet + 5 feet/caster level) so a 3rd level caster could extend the range of the thrown dagger to 55 feet (40 foot spell range + 15 feet fling as opposed to the normal 30 feet max range of the dagger) but range penalties should still apply IMO if your DM allows a mage hand to make an attack in this manner. Personally I wouldnt allow it IMC. Mage hand is a minor form of telekenisis allowing a caster to slightly manipulate light objects from a distance. |

| Steelborn8611-04-04, 07:00 PM | well since the spell can only move an object 15 ft. / round that would mean you can only make the object move at roughly 3.5 mph (i think thats right). I don't think moving an object at 3.5 mph would be very lethal. Especially if someone is trying to dodge something moving that speed. |
