A Vorpal Question what protects against it? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I have a question, that has been discussed over several occasions:

Is Heavy Fortification negating the vorpal effect? And is there an official FAQ about the Vorpal Weapon effect. I would be glad if some guys can help me out.

03-27-07, 06:36 AM It is undecided if fort protects against vorpal, since the 3.5 vorpal is not so much dependent on you actually confirming a crit, merely rolling a natural 20(quite similar to the elemental burst weapon enhancements, which explicitly do affect crit-immune foes).
