Mmkay, I've been thinking this would be cool as a weapon for a while, so I finally decided to try to make it. Bear with me, because it might be a bit... exotic...

Exotic One-"Handed" Weapon
Name: Bladed Stilts
Cost: 35 gp
Damage (S): 1D6
Damage (M): 1D8
Critical: 19-20/x2
Type: Slashing
Weight: 10 lb.

Mmkay, these are sort of like those cool, curved, bouncy stilts, but it does not bounce. If you don't know what I'm talking about, here's a pic:

Yeah, that guy looks creey, doesn't he. I think he's supposed to be some kind of clown, and that was the best pic I could find... anyways...

In this weapon, that curve part is replaced with a large, curved blade, similar to the blade of a scimitar, I suppose. The blade is attached to the back of a boot and swings down on a hinge, locking in place, when the character jumps (move action, same as drawing a weapon). This weapon cannot be used while it is still attached to the back of the boot, unless you want to hurt yourself.
A lot of moves done with this weapon require that the hands be used for stability, so characters may not use this weapon if they are holding anything in their hands (no multi-weapon fighting for the humans :)).
The price and weight listed is for two Bladed Stilts, as they generally come in pairs.
You can make a trip attack with the Bladed Stilts. If you are tripped during your own trip attampt, you MAY NOT drop this weapon to avoid being tripped (It sort of has to be strapped on).
You can use Weapon Finesse to apply your Dex mod instead of Str mod to attack rolls with a bladed stilt sized for you, ever though it isn't a light weapon for you.

I'm fairly comfortable with this so far, but strange problems and benifits occur for using somthing that increases your height. Continue reading:

While wearing two Bladed Stilts, your base movement speed increases by 5 feet per creature size above small (minimum 5 feet), but on each of your turns, you must make a balance check, (DC 15) or begin that turn prone. This DC may increase on difficult terrain.
In addition, you gain an additional +1 on all attack rolls made this weapon (higher ground like when one is mounted?) but take a -1 penalty to AC (for be more obvious because of height?)

Opinions and constuctive criticism would be appreciated. :D

so theres nothing springy in the weapon, besides the scimitar-like blades, and somehow you're supposed to jump in them?

this is more absurd than the dire flail.

Yeah... these are kinda cool, until you realize what they actually do... then they're kinda crappy... in fact, creating this weapon was so dihonorable, you have to commit sepuku.
With this weapon.
And then burn it.
