Now, if my weapon has no enhancement bonus, it is treated as a masterwork weapon, right? A masterwork weapon provides a +1 bonus to attack rolls, right? So, by using the Defending ability, I penalize my attack by 1 only, and my damage by 2 for +2 AC... Right??? Isn`t this a glitch? I mean, a +1 Defending weapon would still hit at the same rate even when used for defense. Is this really possible though, or just a misinterpritation of a curious folk? Please, tell me what you think. You wouldn`t cope up with the idea of not letting me know... Right??? :D |

Right??? :D Yes, you are correct: a +1 defending sword has only masterwork to hit when add the +1 enhancement to AC. Nice, I forgot that. |
| jacobi28905-05-07, 05:42 PM | nevermind. |
| Velcro Zipper05-05-07, 05:47 PM | Here's something else you can do with a Defending weapon that is kind of cheesy but useful. A monk or two-weapon fighter with a Defender can transfer all of the enhancement bonus to his AC while still making attacks with his natural weapons or alternate weapon. There's nothing that says the Defender has to be used to make an attack. |

They get moved over, and your weapon becomes a light and easy blade to way that is good at getting in the way of enemy attacks, not at being balanced and sliding through their defenses. Think of it as getting a -2/-2 TH/DMG and +2 to AC, and it's easier to see how it works. ===Aelryinth |
