So if I'm reading it right, my Intelligent greatsword whos special puropse is to kill undead gets to use a fireball once a round, basically a free action for me, as much as I want, as long as I'm fighting an undead? |

No. Activating the ower is a standard action for the Greatsword. As much as your Greatsword wants. The sword (which is an NPC under the DM's control) gets to choose when to use the power. Also, the "Defeat/slay a particular creature type" purpose means that if you are fighting undead and decide to run away or stop, the Greatsword may try and take over and force an Ego check. Just because you are holding the sword doesn't mean you control it 100% of the time. |

| tarkin02-14-07, 04:30 PM | Yes, they are unlimited use. Yes, they don't cost you an action. They are however Dedicated Powers. That means the sword will NEVER use them, even if you dominate them, unless you are attempting to fulfull the weapons dedicated purpose. Even then it can choose not to use them. In addition, the spells are rather low DC's and usually have a low caster level. |
