09-18-05, 04:37 PM Does anyone know what is the average monster AC for given challenge rating? I've been wanting to figure it out for a while but haven't found the time.

Obviously it depends a lot on the monster, but I'd still be curious to know the average, if anyone has done it.

09-18-05, 09:19 PM If it's a combat focused monster, I try to make it equal to 10+(CR*1.5).

Often they instead have non-ac protections, such as:

1) DR

2) concealment of some kind

3) incorporealness/ethereality
