1. Find someone that has the pre-reqs. For Acidic Blast that would be.

Craft Magic Arms and Armor
Craft Epic Magic Arms and Armor
Acid Fog

2. Pay the difference between the value.

Example: +1 sword with Flaming Burst, priced as a +3 weapon. Cost = 18,000 gp.

Converted to +1 sword with Flaming Blast, priced as +7 epic weapon. Cost = 980,000 gp.

Total cost to upgrade:

862,000 gp.

The price of upgrading a weapon is the difference between it's current enhancement bonus value and it's NEW enhancement bonus value after being enhanced.

To use your example, RavenCorvus, a +1 Flaming Burst Longsword of Speed has an effective enhancement bonus of +6 (+1 Enhancement, +2 for Flaming Burst, +3 for speed) which gives you an effective market price of 72,000gp(not counting the value of the weapon itself).

To add the Vile property(a +1 market price modifier from BoVD) it would increase the effective market price of the weapon to 98,000gp(the cost of a +7 market price modifier). The cost to upgrade the weapon is the difference between 98,000gp and 72,000gp, or 26,000gp.

oh ok now i was wondering could you stack the same enhancement like Vile more then once to do more vile damage and do you think Speed is actally worth the +3 Enhancement cost?

oh ok now i was wondering could you stack the same enhancement like Vile more then once to do more vile damage and do you think Speed is actally worth the +3 Enhancement cost?

"Stacking" multiple versions of the same enhancement is not explictly covered anywhere in the rules, either endorsed or refused, however I would like to think that this would be a case of the same enhancement "overlaping" itself just like multiple castings of the same spell would overlap rather than stacking(otherwise you'd have things like a +2 Wounding, Wounding, Wounding, Wounding weapon that deals 4 points of con damage per successful hit... just dosen't sit well with me.

The Speed enhancement is situational... if you're a class or build that rarely gets a chance to make full attacks, then it's pretty much useless as you'll never get the extra attack. In that case the +3 would be better suited to improving the weapon's base enhancement bonus to hit and damage.

For ranged attackers, particularly archers, it's a much more attractive enhancement because they're more likely to pick a perch and attack form there rather than manuvering often. Additionally, since the special abilities from bows and arrows combine when the arrow is fired, getting that extra attack can help maximize your investment in ammunition.

Well the Vile one i didnt think would stack just would be nice to have something that did more then just one point of vile damage, especially since just about everything we fight heals repeatedly and they cant heal Vile damage so easily, it would be nice if half the damage was vile and make it a +4 enhancement cost.

Would you allow a Enhancement cost to be raised to do more damage like this

Vile
+4 Bonus
Half of all damage you do is vile damage
