Ok, so

Full Round Action = Move + Standard Action
Standard Action Can also be a move action.

What I want to know is, Just as a FRA is equal to 2 Move Actions, Can a Standard Action equal 2 Swift Actions?

I see swift actions being used for a lot of things, and I just want to know if there is anything official as to how the integrate in with the other actions...

Thanks guys

By the rules as written, you can only take one swift action per turn, and you can't use any other action to perform a swift action.

I think it is fine to play that you can use a standard action to perform a swift action, I've never seen any example of a problem with that.

Using a standard action to get two swift actions would be problematic.

A wiz with a metamagic rod of quicken comes to mind...:P

I would uphold the 1 swift action/round limit, just to avoid any slippery slopes...

because you are not meant to cast more than two spells per round (standard+swift), You cannot have more than one swift action per round. however, I would rule that you could spend your entire standard action to utilize a single swift action in that action. however, you still cannot ready a swift action.

Any particular reason?

because they were designed to be only on your turn. Otherwise they would call it an immediate action. Think of it this way: it would mean you could cast quickened spells on your foes' turns

The only reason I specify that is because you can ready standard action, but saying you are readying that action for using a swift action would break the purpose of swift actions.

does that make sense to you?

Why is it worse to cast a quickened spell on your foe's turn than to cast a regular spell on your foe's turn?

The only problem I could imagine is if there were some swift action thing to do that was actually better than a standard action. I'm not aware of any such thing, I wondered if you had something in mind.

actually, i jsut realized that made no sense at all (I'm really sleepy today...). Disregard the example, but still, no more than two spells per turn

I don't think there's any way that readying a swift action spell would give you more than two spells per turn. Unless we're thinking of it differently... I'm saying, you can ready a standard action (which takes up your standard action), and then use that standard action to cast a swift action spell.

I agree that you can't take your normal actions during your turn, and then ready a swift action in addition to that. I could imagine that is pretty abusable. But it's not really what we were talking about.
