| Awesome_Man04-26-05, 02:08 PM | Do Adamantine Arrows automatically get destroyed on a successful hit?? I know most arrows do, but considering how strong Adamantine is, I thought I would ask. |
| spamfiltre04-26-05, 02:11 PM | Per RAW, yes. However, you should ask your DM for a ruling, because considering the fantasy setting, it would be unlikely that the enitre shaft is metal, only the head, which could be recovered and reused even if the shaft were broken. |
| Borris04-26-05, 02:14 PM | They get destroyed just like any other ammunition. Even one that misses its target has a 50% chance of being destroyed. But note that it only costs 60 gp to make an adamantine arrow, while it's 3,000 gp for any melee weapon. |
| Awesome_Man04-26-05, 02:16 PM | Ok, cool, just wondering. Now if you had just the head, how much would you say it would cost to re-make the arrow?? |
| Slayer of Angels04-26-05, 02:26 PM | Um, nothing if you have the Craft: Bowmaking/fletcher. Just whip out a knife and find a tree. Since you have adamantine arrows, I'm assuming you can find equally fine items for cutting wood. Per Dm discretion of course. |
| tarkin04-26-05, 02:30 PM | Adamantine Arrows are made of wood with adamantine arrow-heads. As such, while the arrow heads don't break, the shafts are splintered, just like normal arrows. I made up some alternate rules for these kinds of situations, but they were not fantastic. Hmmm. New Idea. New arrow type to be shortly posted. |
