Adamantine Shields??? [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-16-05, 02:39 PM Sorry people I don't have a book with me (Im in class), so this question is strictly from memory. What would the benifit be of an adamantine shield be? The Price isn't listed in the DMs Guide, and I find it hard to belive that the only benifit is that it is harder to sunder. Is it like armor where it gives DR, or like a weapon where it increases its effectiveness?

The damage it would deal counts as admantine for bypassing damage reduction. I would consider getting a shield with spikes made of admantine and enhanced for extra damage. Then take some of the improved shield-bashing feats in Complete Warrior. The spikes would still take the +3000 gp that Centauri mentioned, but wouldn't count against the shields magical bonus limit since they're enhanced seperately! Go powergaming! :cheer:
