Greetings I was thinking of a character concept that uses an adamantine sword "Shatterspike" to sunder opponents weapons.

Does Adamantine ignore magical hardness?

Adamantine ignores any hardness less than 20. Add up the hardness for the magic weapon (base + magic add -see SRD Magic Items II) and see if it gets to 20 (or higher). If it somehow makes it to only +18, then the admantine Shatterspike sunder's it without hardness.

But the attacking weapon still needs to be as magical as the weapon being damaged, or it does squat.
