Adding magic to bracers of armor [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-14-05, 05:56 AM I think I read somewhere that you could make, say, +4 light fortification bracers of armor of greater shadow. Did I just dream it up ? If not where's the ruling ?

07-14-05, 07:26 AM These rules were introduced in the Arms and Equipment guide. (It's a 3.0 version rulebook.)

In summary the crafter needs both Craft Wondrous Items and Craft Wondrous Arms and Armour. The bracers can contain up to 13 points of enhancement of which at least 1 and no more than 8 can be armour bonus.

The cost of the bracers is calculated by the formula for costing armour enhancements, extended to +13 (the most powerful sub-Epic bracers you can have.)

You can also add flat-cost enhancements to these bracers using the same rules as for armour.
