Lunging Strike (PHB II) aside, is there any feat which allows one to use a normal mellee weapon as a reach weapon?

I think there's a feat in Unapproachable East, but it's both Gnoll and Spear specific.

...and that'd be 3.0.

Unless errata has been published, all 3.0 is valid in 3.5. The new edition didn't erase material, it updated it.

I don't know it it'll help you or not...but there's an item in the Magic Item Compendium that extends your reach by 15 feet.... but it's only a few times a day. Bracers i think.

Well, i was thinking, could there, say, be a way to add reach to weapon magically?
For example, i have a longsword and it was blessed with the magic ability of "reach". The blade of the weapon would extend 5ft, making it a reach weapon.
or, maybe, it could have to deal with psionics or Ki focus. Maybe i could use ki to extend the blade with ki energy, or use psionics to extend the blade with psionic energy. Make it a tactical feat or something like that.

Theres a feat in lords of madness that grants 5' ft of reach. Also, check out the shadowstrike property in MIC (I believe that might be what Lixith was referring to, since it works only a few times/day).

If you have Tome of Battle, you can take the Martial Stance feat to learn the Dancing Blade Form (Iron Heart) stance... It adds 5 feet to your reach, but only while it's your turn (Thus not during AoO). The only requirement is that you'll need to take the Martial Study feat to learn an Iron Heart maneuver (Disarming Strike is a good, effective low-level maneuver that remains usefull at any level in your progression).
