Dmg has a bit of information, but the basic rules are the same. No your squares are 5x5x5, and you've got to worry about a lot more spaces.

Yeah I just wish they would elaborate more on like special attacks such as grappling, and weight allowance, just stuff like that.

You can still grapple. If the creature uses wings to fly and you pin them, you can fmake them fall, but you'll fall with them. Weight allowance is specified with each creature. Combat in 3D is not much different than combat in 2D.

Yeah, I had a Githyanki in one quest dimension door above one of my flying PCs and it grappled her in mid air, and she argued the fact that I told her she was going to fall cause of this, because technically the only way to grapple someone in air is by restricting the use of their limbs because you can't pin them in mid air, and she argued if the Gith was going to grapple her wings then she could still use her hands and attack and if it was visa versa then she could still fly, because wings are other limbs technically so to her a gith with only two hands could only grab two limbs where she had four (2 arms and 2 wings) so I was just wondering if there were any printed rules,... but hey thanks for the help anyways!

In addition to the section in the DMG that was already mentioned, check out Skip Williams 7-part Rules of the Game series titled "All About Movement". It covers aerial movement in depth. Here is a link to part I:
