If you have only the core rules, you could possibly just use the stats for a Colossal Animated Object (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/animatedObject.htm) with a flying speed of 40' (as if affected by the fly spell) or 60' (as if outfitted with wings of flying).

04-05-07, 12:53 PM There is an airships book from Fantasy Flight Games as well- they have truly excellent rules for airship design.

Try Eberron Explorers Guide page 29.

There also was a 2nd ED SpellJammers rule set that was all about flying ships - not sure what u mean by airship (ie flying dutchman vs a zepllin)

Yes But it is way over priced for it's ablities.
