Which are good books to find airships and other such magic and extraordinary travel types?

Arms and Equipment Guide has zeppelins, hang gliders, ornithopters, and maybe more
There's probably some Eberron stuff, but I don't have my Eberron books with me.

Elemental Airships, thats what Ebberon has and they're great, way better than crazy zepplins.

There are also railroads (Lightningrail) in the Ebberon books. Arms and Equipment also has submarines and other things as well as a tone of different mount choices

Which are good books to find airships and other such magic and extraordinary travel types? As mentioned: Arms and Equipment Guide is an excellent good resource for extraordinary vehicles.

Personally, I often just use different types of (very large) animated objects (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/animatedObject.htm) for such vehicles.

I've always said you can't go wrong with spelljammers.

Yes, anyone with cash can get a boat with a Fly spell on it, but spelljammers have class. They have style. They have background setting.

Admittedly TSR cancelled the line before 3rd ed., but there's some decent, fanmade stuff over at the Lost Spheres: http://lost.spelljammer.org/

Ships powered with spells. So very good.

Admittedly TSR cancelled the line before 3rd ed., Dragon magazine has previously published 3.0 and 3.5 Spelljammer material (in various magazines).

I actually have two Ebberon books but I think the airship statistics are good enough. Maybe i should look again.

Aside from eberron, spelljammer and AEG, there are several third party works, though I can only directly comment on Airships from boston press.

I's got lots of detail and covers several areas for the purpose of balance, however it's not easily meshed with a standard campaign, nor is it particularly simple.

There's also Dragonstar, something I've no experiance with, as well as several other works available somewhere on the internet. (look for mongoose puplishing, great white games, goodman games, and sword & sorcery for a few examples).

Personally, I'd just recommend looking into eberron. The newer vehicles in Magic of Eberron (the earthsled, and more specifically the tumbler) are also interesting, btw. The AEG should fill in any holes that Eberron leaves behind.
