03-18-07, 10:18 PM So im trying to make Airship rules and it occures to me there might already be some. Anyone know of any WOTC books dealing with that subject (Ebberon and Forgotten Realms is fine) and if not id just as soon alter the Stormwrack rules on boats (which ive started and its turning out easier then youd think) but id still like to know of D20 books dealing with that, unless its a future tech (I like post-appoc d20, but high tech future just doesnt feel right to me).

03-18-07, 11:59 PM The Explorer's Handbook from Eberron has a bit on Airships, as does the Core Eberron book.

03-19-07, 12:08 AM Its 3.0, But I remember the arms and equipment guide having rules for either airships of blimps, and adapting blimp rules to airships cant be that hard.

Yeah the arms and Equipment guide does have balloons (Zeppelins and Dirigibles oh my), which your right is pretty much what i was doing with stormwrack, which will save me a truck load of time. The only problem is both examples of flying vehicle are subject to wind, which makes sense for balloons but which the airships im working up that would only work for one type and really its the least common type, hopefully the ebenrron books will fill some gaps.

03-19-07, 09:22 AM Arms and equipment has ways to turn ships into airships. also stats for zepplins, dirigables, gliders and orithopters. Right now, I'l using it to try to make a tank. Also magic of Ebberon has ways to make eberron airships.

For my own games (only because I avoid using supplements), I use the kludge of using the stats for big permanently animated (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/animatedObject.htm) items outfitted with wondrous magic items for flying (and/or built as ornithopters).
