All the Dwarven kingdoms for a good sword [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-30-07, 08:43 PM Ok I am a dwarven duskblade in the realms on the run from the Red Wizards. I just picked up my first master work sword but I want the best. My character favors a longsword. I will pick up an adamantine Dwarven craft longsword.

What I need help with simply a name for the sword. I want to think of one before I can get it so that I have it ready. I was thinking something in dwarvish that had to do with my duskblade class abilities.

I am also open to some suggestions of what magical properties to put on the sword. I was debating on making it intelligent.

Melee Effects
Everbright +2000gp
Dispelling +1 bonus
Dispelling greater +1 bonus

12-30-07, 09:09 PM well for properties, since your running from red wizards magebane from Complete arcane isn't to bad. As for names, I'm not really goodfor coming up with names for weapons, the only 2 I came up with would be catastrophe and judgement.

12-31-07, 01:06 PM Are you thinking of giving it a proper name, maybe with a suffix.
Something like: Torak, Wizard's Bane. Or maybe something like, the Mage Reaver, or Doom of the Arcane. Since I assume your enemies will be primarily wizards at this point and the abilities look to be anti-caster.

In a party of all axe wielding dwarf I thought it would be a good idea to go for a different type of weapon. Any magic axes the party will tend to fight over and it is just easier to stay out of it. Besides the Thayan knight favor the longsword and I thought why not start a collection of swords of humans I have killed.

Runesword (and of course put all kinds of runes on it)
