| nrg_8904-29-07, 05:31 PM | What magic bonuses on armor allows more Dex-bonus, except for mithral? |
| Novacat04-29-07, 06:44 PM | Having skimmed the DMG and the Magic Items Compendium, I found no such enchantment. However, I have a few solutions for you: • Use a lighter armor; • If the Padded Armor is still constricting (due to a +9 or better DEX score), then don't wear armor. • Ask your DM if you can get a magical shirt (costing 150g for masterwork costs) that can be further enchanted like armor, but doesn't provide any protection by itself. |
| Gavinfoxx04-29-07, 11:45 PM | There is the nimbleness enchantment in magic item compendium. What exactly dex bonus are you needing to use? Can you get exotic armor proficiency in anything? Check out crystalkeep for some good examples... |

| BugHunter04-30-07, 10:06 PM | I've already asked the question about using mithral armor with nimbleness. Here is WotC response: Yes Nimbleness and the Mithral quality will stack with each other. This will provide a Max Dex of +4 and the armor check penalty will be reduced by 4. |
| jadehawk05-01-07, 12:20 PM | For high dexterity (around +8 or +9) I found thistledown padded armour was a good choice for a while, particularly on the pocketbook. I think I found thistledown special material from RoW or CA. Once the dexterity beats +10 or so, it is really better to go with bracers of armour over actual armour. If your character has a good wisdom, I would also use the monk's belt if the character switches over to bracers of armour. |

| Prak, the Mad05-01-07, 08:35 PM | you could also just get bracers, which can be enchanted like normal armour. |
| Fallenangel35905-01-07, 08:39 PM | gnomish twistcloth while an exotic armor, has no penalties for being used without the exotic proficiency. 0 armor check though if you do take the exotic armor proficiency, then the armor bonus applies to touch AC |
| Gavinfoxx05-01-07, 09:37 PM | Dueling cloaks from dragon 335 have infinite dex bonus, thistledown padded armor has +10 bonus, twist cloth, as mentioned, has infinite bonus and also works against touch ac, nightscale from underdark gives a +10 bonus, spidersilk (also an exotic, from underdark) gives +8 bonus, Silk armor in 3.0 from dragon 298 gives a +8 bonus... bondleaf wrap, a really wierd armor from arms and equipment guide, allows as much dex bonus as you want... |
