Is there a book with some different arrow styles? Or even if someone knows of a forum source. Back in my day *cough* *weez* we had broad-headed, heavy arrows and flight arrows that did less dmg. We also had to shoot up hill both ways...

But I digest, with no search function on the forums, I throw myself on the mercy of the posters.

:w00t: I'm not the only one who remembers Sheaf arrows! Other than that, sorry, don't know of any books.

There are some arrows in Masters of the Wild, the Arms and Equipment Guide, and Oriental Adventures, quite probably others.

Flight Arrows are in those books somewhere, along with Blunt-tipped arrows and "frog crotch" arrows.

Races of the wild has arrows that do slashing, blunt (and nonlethal) fly further, and dragonsdraght arrows that deal fire damage and can set opponents on fire (better than alchemists fire as the burning can continue indefinitely)

tons of arrows, i think this might be what you are looking for, they aren't core but i believe the creator said they were all balanced, he created several using the proper rules magic tems etc

i hope it helps

The Living Greyhawk campaign allows some alternative arrows. Check them out in the Latest LG Open Item List file here:

Also, just to point it out since it's been broken forever and a day and finally working, the Forum Search function does actually work now.

But yeah, Arms and Equipment guide and the old 3.0 Sword and Fist had some special arrows, which should still be valid. The Dragon Compendium book has some alchemical item arrows(thunderstone, alchemist fire, etc).

There were also some alternate arrows in an issue of Dragon.

Unfortunately I don't remember which issue :(

Also, one of the 3.0 books (might be Masters of the Wild) had arrows of curing. They were more expensive than potions, because you could fire more than one a round.
