when looking for a item to prevent scrying and found Amulet of proof of protection which duplacates a 3rd/4th level spell but at 18th lv the item is kind of weak for a multiclass and then I noticed it price at 35,000 which seemed a bit high

so how much would it be if instead of non detection, you used mind blank( wiz 8th)?

DMG Guideline for a continuous spell effect is 2k*CL*spell level

so an 8th level spell requires a 15th level caster, with the price being 8*15*2000 = 240,000

On the other hand, Mind Blank has a long duration, Which supposedly reduces the cost by a factor of 5 (24 hour duration means that you would be fine as a 1/day item).

This would give a price of 48,000.

A 1/Day item would be susceptible to dispelling, however, so the real price should be somewhere between the two.

I also believe there may be a psionic item that gives a mind blank type effect for 120,000 so that might be a good price.

Its duration is 24hrs. That means you have to price it as continuous item with duration of 24 hrs or greater(120,000gp), rather than as an item with charges per day(48,000gp).
While dispelling is more hurting to the latter, both can be dispelled, anyway. And the consequences of dispelling would be nearly identical. The power difference is virtually nil.

And you can find a couple of such items, in books.
