Specifically I'm looking for some sort of powdery substance that when thrown into the eyes of an opponent, will temporarily impair their vision. I've searched high and low through all the books available to me with no luck. |

| Draket07-31-05, 09:16 PM | Gee thanks for that insight! :P I was looking for something specifically designed for such a purpose (and the accompanying rules) such as the Blinding Powder in the Thief's Handbook back in AD&D 2e. My DM is loath to use anything not published for 3.5e or I'd ask him to convert the rules given in the Thief's Handbook for me. |

We don't even own any of the splatbooks. You didn't specify anything at all, first post; magic item or mundane, etc. I don't know of any such rules, since we are pretty straight forward in fights; Pull sword, cast magic missile, collect $200 and go home. We rarely even use tactics like "trip" and such. However, I'm guessing that the splatbook ppl will have ideas. I've see some of them talk about "dirty fighting" feats, and I'll bet ninja-books have something. In any case, it can't be insanely hard; Something between the 'flare' cantrip and the 'blindness/deafness' spell has to be researchable, eventually. Don't worry; Somebody'll chime in soon. Neue |
