Does this exist? I recall an item called Armor of Comfort from NWN, but I'm having trouble finding the special ability that duplicates it in 3.5 anywhere. I don't own all the books, however, so maybe I'm missing it somewhere. Could someone direct me to an armor special ability like this, one that allows you to sleep in medium/heavy armor without becoming fatigued? Thanks.

The feat "Endurance" allows one to sleep in medium and heavy armor witouth becoming fatigued. How about creating your own armor enhancement bonus which either grants you the feat, or plains allows you to sleep in that armor.

However, I believe you can sleep in a glamered armor?

The property Halfweight might help (it's from Underdark). It's a +3 bonus (you can reduce this to +2 by applying Illithidwrought if you're a psionic creature), and treats the armour as light for all purposes. Expensive, so best used if you're going to make use of other benefits.

Try checking the Complete Warrior - I don't have mine with me now, but I seem to recall a "comfort" or similar ability in there...there are also specific armors like the "endless hunt" that you might consider discussing with your DM

There is the armor of unending hunt that makes you immune to fatigue and exhaustion. What effect are you looking for with armor of comfort?
I've got a set of +2 full plate of comfort in a game I'm playing, but it's an item the DM made up. Comfort enchantment means that it fits you perfectly, doesn't chafe and keeps you at a nice temperature, so you're immune to non-lethal damage from heat or cold. So it ended up being a suit of armor that if you knew the command word, any medium humanoid could wear it. It was given to my Paladin who was dripping with charisma with the command words "Oh Baby!".

There was an "Ease" echantment in ye olde "splatbook" Masters of the Wild, back in ye dayes of softcover. Woe, for they were dark times, with 3.0 Psionics and Power Critical. Woe.

Anyways, it's on page 28 and had a Market Price of +1 bonus. It allowed the user to wear it comfortably overnight regardless of how heavy it is. It also can be donned in only 5 rounds, and removed in one round. Given that this enchantment was made before the 3.5 idea of set costs to armor, this one could probably be changed to a 2,000-4,000 gp enchantment, depending on what your DM feels like.

That enchantment became a bit of a joke amongst my group. We all pictured a male Dwarf Fighter in +1 full plate of ease meeting up with a female Dwarf Cleric of Moradin in +1 full plate of ease, love at first sight, and then they just nod and rip their armor off.

Here's what I've found with the help of my group:

Comfort is in Shining South. It just protects from natural temperatures, not for sleeping at night, so that's out.

Halfweight is in Underdark. It makes whatever armor it's applied to effectively light armor, which solves the problem, but it's a steep +3 bonus.

Masters of the Wild has the Ease ability, a +1 that lets you don any armor in 5 rounds and take no penalties for sleeping in it. However, I am one of those stubborn players who believes that if it wasn't worth updating to 3.5, it should be left in the dust. Not to mention, as Dragonteuthis said, values may be different in 3.5 now. So I have a moral dilemma to tangle with.

In which book is the Armor of the Endless Hunt located? Between everyone in my group, we all own almost all of the books, so I'm sure we could locate it.

Thanks!

(btw, did you know that the word a n a l is picked up and censored by the automatic filters? I guess you can't be a n a l retentive anymore... oh well, it's an annoying quality anyways.)

Masters of the Wild and the other "splatbooks" where updated to 3.5 for Living Greyhawk, if I recall correctly.

That may help worm the Ease enchantment past your stubbornness (a trait I share).
