I have seen refference to the "Initiative" weapon enhancement.

Could anyone point me in the right direction, because I cannot find it.

I'm betting that you're confused with "speed".

There are about two items in the game that grant an initiative bonus, like the "rod of alertness".

There is the feat, of course, "improved initiative"; That applies to anything you do at all, but has nothing to do with a weapon enchantment.

Mayhaps you read in in some splatbook. (I specify, a non-WotC splatbook, none of which has one either, or I'd have read about it ad-nauseum here on the boards).

I wouldn't rule out the idea that read a PrC from WotC with some bonus, but I wouldn't know. Core only. (3.5).

There are actually about 10 items, in various D&D books that add to initiative, and some weapon enhancements, such as "Eager" and "Burning", all of which are found in official D&D WotC accessories (Arms and Equipment Guide, Ebberon Campaign Setting, etc.)

However, on the Character Optimization boards I saw mention of one that was simple called "Initiative". You may be right, this could be a wild goose chase, but over there they know the rules and content of D&D better than anyone.

If I do find it, I'll be sure to post the source here, in case anyone else is curious.

Initaitie weapon property was in Oriental Adventures

If I recall it was a +1 bonus that gave +2 on initiative.
