Katana threads are banned due to katana-related-flamewars. TELL me that doesn't sound like the punchline of some geek-themed webcomic.

Road_Warrior 05-25-06, 03:34 PM	Well, I don't have much against the katana (except that it's been too overromanticized and overrated in movies like Highlander and various Japanese anime and manga), but I can probably guess the necessity to ban various new katana threads to prevent this forum from erupting into a flamewar battlefield. I still have a slight aversion to elves wielding katana, though. I can imagine the horror stories of Dungeon Masters about Drizzt clones dual-wielding katanas. It's a pretty useful sword against unarmoured foes, I'll give you that. Let's hope that it won't be necessary to ban other topics in the future.

Not as much katana as the katana, sausage, eggs, and katana." "I don't like katana!"). But, as my little mini-sketch clearly indicates, it's a little spammy. Gotta close it. :)
