| Narthon12-02-06, 09:10 AM | Is there an abiliy in a 3.5, WOTC book that heals the user as it does damage to the enemy? I am playing a half-orc barbarian beater in a no cleric campaign and find that I just can't keep enough potions on hand. An alternate way to heal would be quite helpful. Thank you |
| Fallenangel35912-02-06, 11:03 AM | crusader class has plenty of abilities to heal itself when it hits enemies Infact, their topend devotion ability, is a standard action attack that when used, casts the heal spell on you, at your initiator level, which is 1/2 of your other classes, plus your character level They have a stance that heals 4hp to you and 1 ally of you choice, whenever either of you do damage to a threatening creature of some kind, thats midlevel... always fun if you don't like the flavor of crusader, you could do it as warblade, or swordsage, if you get the martial training feat |
| risner12-02-06, 11:23 AM | Vampiric (DU128 p83) Melee only Living opponent takes an additional 1d4 damage (FortNeg, DC16) and the wielder heals the same amount. If the wielder is at full hp, then the point become non stacking temp hps. +2 enhancement bonus |

Also, the character in question has 9 levels of barbarian and hasn't been working towards any PRCs, so I doubt there would be much chance of qualifying for those. |

Alternatively, you can discuss it with your DM. Personally, I reserve those type weapons as either evil and/or cursed. |
| Archangel6212-03-06, 05:36 AM | There are the Bloodstone Blades from the Players Guide to Eberron but you might need to talk to your DM since it depends on a material, Syberris shards, unique to eberron to function. |

| braethias12-03-06, 06:02 AM | If I recall, Wrathful healing was a +3 market modifier, required Regeneration, CL 15, and heals the (living) user for half the damage the weapon dealt. Note the living tag, because that would harm an undead user, a fact they mention specifically in the enhancement's description. can only be applied to melee weapons. But I might be forgetting a detail. or 3. |
| Dark Brandon12-03-06, 06:05 AM | There's a psionic power called vampiric blade. It shouldn't be too hard to make a weapon with that ability. |
| unusualsuspect12-03-06, 02:41 PM | Psionics does have a weapon that does almost what you want it to do, except it isn't broken. Bodyfeeder All feeder weapons have a special ability that functions only upon scoring a successful critical hit. A bodyfeeder weapon grants its wielder temporary hit points equal to the total damage dealt by a successful critical hit. These temporary hit points last for 10 minutes. Thus, if the wielder of a bodyfeeder weapon successfully scores a critical hit while the wielder still enjoys temporary hit points from a previous critical hit, the wielder gains only the better of the two values: either his current number of temporary hit points, or the new influx of temporary hit points, whichever is higher. Strong psychometabolism; ML 12th; Craft Psionic Arms and Armor, claws of the vampire; Price +3 bonus. Hmmm... perhaps i should restate that. It isn't broken unless you're using a Greathorn Greathammer (MM 4) or a Mercurial Greatsword (A&EG). |
| runestar12-03-06, 10:24 PM | Psionics does have a weapon that does almost what you want it to do, except it isn't broken. Temp hp from the same source does not stack anyways, so its far from broken either way... Might be worth it for a weapon with a high crit multiplier, like a scythe...prior to battle, have the wiz summon a creature with tons of hp, tie it helpless, then line it up for an all-out power attacking coup de grad...:P |
| unusualsuspect12-03-06, 11:15 PM | Bag o' Rats, thy use hath returned! :D |
| Grimmsfeld12-03-06, 11:28 PM | IIRC, Body/Mindfeeding have been errata'd to only allow 1/day use. Actually, nope. Just Mindfeeding. Have at it with the Bodyfeeding. |
