It's for my cleric. Basically I want a way to make powdered silver within a dungeon.

09-22-04, 12:53 PM Take the cost of the smallest piece of adamantite equipment you can find...say a dagger, then make it into a mortar/pestal.

Though that might be expensive, it's not like you're going to add enchantments to it to inflate the cost.

Otherwise, I'd say whatever the mortar/pestal cost is add the cost to make it masterwork. Though it specifically is for grinding up silver for you precious spells. That should be a good basis IMO or at least a start.

A masterwork tool costs 50 gp from the players handbook and weighs 1 lb.

File silver powder off of the edge of a silver piece onto a piece of cloth.

There you go.

09-22-04, 04:24 PM And repeat for seven or eight hours to get 5lbs of the stuff for any spell that requires it...if I were you, I would ask your DM to let you use a silver coin that is worth 50gp as the component, rather than 5lbs of silver dust.
