Has anyone found a weapon, regardless of simple/martial/exotic, light/one-handed/two-handed/double weapon and melee/ranged, that deals slashing, piercing and bludgeoning damage ? Either at the same time or to be decided by the user ?

Well, In my games, when a PC is using a G-sword, i let him do bludgeoning damage with a -1 attack, and since it already does Sl or Pc it can do Bl too.

Wow. Looks cool. I'd say 1d10 damage, 2-handed, 10ft reach, and 20/x2 crit. It says it is 5'7" so, considering a spear is only 5" longer, the 10' reach sounds accurate.

There isn't a published weapon that I'm aware of, and, it's probably a design/balance consideration not to have such a weapon.

In fact, D&D often gives a weapon only 1 damage type when it's realistically capable of inflicting two. (Rapiers really could cut, and longswords really could stab, for instance, axes and hammers were often backed with spikes, and so forth).

So even if you dug up an historical weapon like the Bec de Corbin, that has a cutting blade, a spear-point, and a hammer-head, the D&D version would probably still ommit one damage type.

Bite. All three.Well, I didn't speak of any restriction about manucfactured/natural weapons. Guess that one slipped my mind. Very good one.

Any luck with a double weapon yet ?

Guess it would be wise to ask first if Melee Weapon Mastery (slashing), (piercing) and (bludgeoning) stack with each other.

There is a feat (I think in unearthed arcana) that allows use of a halberd as a double weapon and the other side deals bludgeoning damage. I will post when I remember what book it is in.

Guess it would be wise to ask first if Melee Weapon Mastery (slashing), (piercing) and (bludgeoning) stack with each other. They would logically co-exist, but not stack.

For instance, if you were a Halberd specialist, you're using a weapon that does piercing or slashing damage. You could presumably go on to master both piercing and slashing weapons from there.

The Scythe is also a piercing/slashing weapon. If you'd mastered slashing weapons, you'd presumably get your bonuses when using a scythe - to slash. If you also master piercing weapons, you get the bonus with both modes of use.

But that's just what seems reasonable and logical, to me. ;)

There you go, all three in one weapon, albeit, at the cost of a feat.

Also, I have to wonder if a halberd is masterworkable/enchantable as a double weapon...

It's not a double weapon, regardless of the fact that the feat lets you imitate the use of one.

With feats, a monk can turn their fists into any of the three types of damage. The non-eic feats allow solely for a switch to one type, and the epic ones grant a cool property aswell ( :D VORPAL FISTS! :D )

Versatile Unarmed Strike, from PHB II. You can unarmed attack in any way you want.

Not much for anyone but a monk, but hey.

Have you considered multiple weapons? Two-weapon fighting with a morningstar and a sickle gives you some three-type woopah.

And maybe...Improved Unarmed Strike, a spiked gauntlet on one hand, and a bladed gauntlet (from Sword and Fist) on the other. With improved unarmed strike, anything can be used as an attack, including an elbow. So you have one slashing hand, one piercing hand, and a bludgeoning elbow. Completely ridiculous, but I guarantee you'll be the only guy on the block that does this.

I have a weapon in my campaign that can deal all three types of damage, but one at a time:

Cat-o-nine-tails (BTW I know the name is unacurrate)
One-handed exotic weapon
1d4 slashing/piercing/bludgeoning, critical 20/x2
Price: 75 gp Weight: 4 lbs

This weapon is basically a multiheaded flail with blades, weigths and spikes. Each time an attack lands, roll 1d3 to determine which type of damage it deals (1=bludg., 2=slash., 3=pierc.). Because it is whip-like, it grants a +2 bonus on disarm checks (but it is too unwieldy to make trip attacks).

It's not great, it requires a lot of unnecessary rolls, and I only used it once for a NPC cleric of Scahrossar (BoVD). When my players took it, they found it totally useless (whew! no need to make twice as much rolls!).

Take a look at this... it's called the Executioners mace and it does all three types of damage 2d6 x3, martial two handed 75gp

hmmm... I know we're talking about D&D (which is a fantasy game for those who didn't notice), but I think the Executioner's Mace STILL looks way too unrealistic.

Ridiculously overelaborate ninja weapon

Well, it's definitely a weapon of some sort. It consists of four long blades, three wooden poles, six steel chains, and an assortment of spikes. You have absolutely no idea how to use it, but it looks totally badass.

Type: weapon (3-handed ...weapon)
Power: 100
Muscle Required: 35
Selling Price: 120 Meat.

Enchantment:
3x chance of Critical Hit
3x chance of Fumble

Thank god for Kingdom of Loathing to provide...

A 3rd party source used something called tinsel mercury. Provided you has the feats (It took two), you could change it to nearly any weapon. While it was based in a fantasy setting, the stuff wasn't magival. No dispelling the shape.

The PrC they developed to go with it had an ability called chimerical weapon. It became an amalgam weapon that did all three types at once.

*Surprised no one has mentioned this before*

Take any slashing weapon you like, make a wooden version of it. Generally Ironwood spells or one of the unusual strong-as-steel wood materials is your best bet. Then, slap a Spikes spell on it. Bring the pain. (Try to use the non-nerfed CD version, not the SC one)

There was a weapon like that sorta on Buffy once too.

Actually, just take a weapon style feat out of the complete warrior and the halberd becomes able to deal all three types of damage so I suppose that it would qualify for those purposes as well as granting extra attacks in a round.

LOL! I just did that last week! A "miner" in the town we were in pickpocketed me and I vowed that when I found him I'd beat him senseless with my shovel. I even had his "name" engraved on the implement of Justice!

Yeah, most direct conversion I can see would be lose the ability to make a trip attack, since it's no longer a hook, and add the third damage type.

There are these 3 feats in champions of ruin, each of which lets you do an additional 1d6 damage for each subsequent hit beyond the first for slashing/bludgeoning/piercing weapons. If if a weapon which did all 3 damage types exists, having all 3 feats would allow you to deal an extra 3d6 damage per subsequent hit.

So far, the max I have ever seen is 2 damage types. Sure no weapon exists with 3 of them? :)

In FF7, one of the enemy SOLDIERS use a sword that looks more like a club that comes to a point on the end. Of course, there aren't any stats for it in D&D, but I thought I would throw it out there. :ayyyy!:

Nope, Urgosh is an axe/spear, no hammer involved. It's slashing or piercing only.
