Simple question, been awhile since I posted.

Can a character use power attack when taking an AoO? Not sure on this one, but im my current campaign I have a pair of fighters ripping through the competition using power attack/combat reflexes on their AoO. I thought maybe they couldnt because the AoO is a free attack and power attack specifies when making a standard attack or a full-round attack.

No. AoO are extra-attack you initiate as reaction to provokation from someone threathens by you. It's always a single attack (per provokation however) with your full BAB, no initiated Feats included.

If you power attack during your turn and then an enemy provokes an AoO from you then your AoO is a power attack. Most full round attacks that use feats continue to have their effects until your next turn. Examples are when power attacking, using combat expertise, Two Weapon fighting etc. AoOs are not always at your full BAB.

Yes, you correct about the duration of those Feats. in full BAB I meant no matter after which of your full-attack blows you make it, it's still in your upper BAB even for numerous AoO suppose you have Combat Reflexes

Yes, and the corollary: if you do not use Power Attack during your turn, you can't use Power Attack when you make an AoO.

You cannot chose to "activate" power attack when making an AoO. However if, on your turn, you chose to use Power attack then any AoO's between that time and the start of your next turn apply the hit penalty and damage bonus.

PA does not mention standard or full-attack actions, all it says is "subtract a number from all melee attack rolls and add the same number to all melee damage rolls".
