According to PHB when you make an AoO you can make a standard action? and experienced characters can take a full attack action?

What do they fully mean by taking a standard action? Like can you cast a spell? Use a reserve feat and make a ranged touch attack with acidic splatter?

Also I'm not fully clear by what they mean by experienced characters get the option to make a full attack action?

Could somebody please clear this up for me please by explaining what you can all do with an AoO please?

It does not say anything about taking a Standard Action. You probably read incorrectly.

You can make a standard attack perhaps, but that just means a single swing of your weapon. You might do damage, or make a trip/disarm attempt.

Making an Attack of Opportunity

An attack of opportunity is a single melee attack, and you can only make one per round. You don’t have to make an attack of opportunity if you don’t want to.

An experienced character gets additional regular melee attacks (by using the full attack action), but at a lower attack bonus. You make your attack of opportunity, however, at your normal attack bonus—even if you’ve already attacked in the round.

When they are saying experienced characters get additional attacks, they mean normally in a round they can make multiple attacks at successively lower attack bonuses. This is for contrast to the Attack of Opportunity, which is always at your highest attack bonus no matter how many attacks you have made already that round.

You can actually perform more than one AoO in a round with Combat Reflexes though. Even so, they are all at your normal full attack bonus.

Here are two articles explaining it fully.
