| deathbane10-13-06, 09:04 AM | AA is a large monster and he wants to charge B the spellcaster, but X1 and X2 are in the way. Since he takes up two spaces as a large monster but he has a straight line to B can he charge through X1's space and just accept the attack or opportunity since he does not have room to go in between them or is he blocked due to his size? B X1 X2 AA P.S. When I post this it puts B behind X1 but it should have him in the space between X1 and X2 |

B X1 X2 AA P.S. When I post this it puts B behind X1 but it should have him in the space between X1 and X2 ok first of all you cant charge because you dont have an unimpeded path. or at least as it appears on the screen.... ok so assume ----B---- --x---x-- ---AA--- In this case you can charge and just takes the AOO. Just hope they dont trip. |
| tarkin10-13-06, 10:03 AM | I think he meant for it to look like this: --B-- -X-X -AA- -AA- where there is not enough room between the two x's to fit. In that case, I would say "No charge", because your path is slightly obstructed and that is all it takes. |
| fatal error10-13-06, 12:24 PM | Of course, if X1 and X2 are in the squares one column down from B then the large creature could use its reach, no? |
| Damionte10-13-06, 01:17 PM | He could still charge if he can reach the perosn in the back. If the one in the back though is 10 feet away from his allies he'll probably be out of the reach of the large attacker unless the attack er himself has a reach weapon. |
| tarkin10-13-06, 03:33 PM | Also, only "Tall" large creatures get reach. "Long" large creatures, such as centaurs, etc. do not have reach. |
| Johnny_Angel10-13-06, 06:39 PM | The large creature could still charge the target in the back; if someone is in the way, the creature can attempt to Over Run them and then proceed to charge the intended target. |
| Jhaelen10-13-06, 06:58 PM | The large creature could still charge the target in the back; if someone is in the way, the creature can attempt to Over Run them and then proceed to charge the intended target.No. That has been errataed: You cannot overrun someone as part of a charge action. |
