klode_me 02-22-05, 05:17 AM	Do you think an apostle of peace can have a intelligent weapon, that protects him, with magic power, and you canīt attack with it, because it is a weapon of peace, but then it get some awesome abilities, or what do you think?

With only protection spells and abilities, but hey he has taken the Wow of Poverty so he cant own any item of value.................... Hmmm last time i checked intelligent items costed a bunch so the answer would be, no he cannot own such a wpn without breaking his wow and as such loose the benefit of it, without the wows he cant have any of the abilities his class has granted him since the class is dependent on his wows. Did that answer your question?
Ringrose 02-22-05, 08:56 AM	If he took the leadership feat...I think he could have the item as a cohort...you cannot own expensive property...but your friends/companions don't count...but this would be up to DM interpretation though...
EldritchEvos 02-22-05, 08:58 AM	Maybe if you took item familiar(UA) and made the item able to move on it's own.. You could say that the item followed you because it liked you and fought for you but not that you fought with it, and since you didn't buy it, you could still be poor. You just say you gave all your money to some guy when you decided to becoem poor an dhe made an item, that looked for you and helps you in combat or when ever
klode_me 02-22-05, 09:31 AM	or a kind of a gift from the gods, because i live in poorness, but have helped alot others, then they desided to give me an item that looked over me, and protected me (in a peacefull way ofcourse).
tarkin 02-22-05, 11:02 AM	You can get an intelligent item that is NOT a weapon. It just can not be a charged item that eventually ceases to have magical abilities (potions/wands/scrolls/staves) Intelligent Armor, intelligent, wonderous items, intelligent rings, intelligent rods are common.
