11-23-07, 07:22 PM What book is the Twilight armor from? Its a special metal made with armor thats nice for arcane casters, gives a 0% arcane failure and adds a nice boost to AC

11-23-07, 07:46 PM I believe you're a bit confused.

The only Twilight armour effect I'm aware of in 3.5 is the Twilight armour enchantment, which reduces arcane spell failure by -10%. It was originally printed in the Book of Exalted Deeds and was republished in the Player's Handbook II.

Now, combined with, say, mithral, you can make light and medium armours with little to no ASF and excellent maximum dex bonus values.

If there's a 3rd party book that includes something like that, I'm not aware of where it would be located.

11-23-07, 09:25 PM RavenDrake is right. Both twilight and mithril reduce the ASF by 10%. I also think twlight was published a third time in the Magic Item Compendium.

Also, on a semi-related note, if you want to be able to cast in fullplate, one way is to get twilight mithril fullplate (ASF 15%) and have three levels in spellsword (which will ignore 15% ASF).

Which raises the spell level by 1...which is kind of a steep penality really.

I mean honestly, twilight mirthal breastplate with thisledown is 0% ASF and light armor so you lose no mobility.
