01-17-08, 02:44 PM Looking for a way to decrease ASF with a feat or magical armor enhancement.

Mythral is too rare in this setting and classes are all ready determined.

Suggestions?

There is the twilight effect in players hand book 2 that reduces ASCF by 10%.

Other than that, the only thing I can think of is an armor template in DMG2.

01-19-08, 12:23 AM Also look into Thistle Down Lining from Races of the Wild.

So you can have a fey crafted (DMG2), Twilight (PHB2), Thistledown armor of X.

But without Mithril, your still kind of boned.

01-19-08, 02:06 AM Leafweave studded leather + twilight=no ASF, no ACP. You won't even need to bother with proficiency!

Alternately, there's having an incredibly low CHA score and running around in the nude. Claim that you get a deflection bonus due to not having clothes on!

Seriously though, bracers of armor are a good thing for anyone with ASF. That way you can wear a robe if you want to.

Depends on your class. If you can cast spells in light armor (battle sorcerer, warlock, duskblade, beguiler etc.) you can take improved armor casting from complete arcana to cast in medium armor.

Spellcasting(p115): reduces the arcane spell failure percentage by 10%. Arcane(p101): For every plus of armor enhancement, the chance for arcane spell failure is reduced by 10%.
