| flyingsquirrel09-02-04, 04:16 PM | Hey, I am curently working on becoming a Archane Archer and was wondering are their any good iteams out their for this class to have? My character curently has elven chain mail, a bow that can hit ghosts, and a potion that lets me levitate but is their some cool arrows or bows or quivers that I should keep an eye out for? ( Du their are plenty of cool stuff but are their any that are out their for lower level characters just starting out) As you can see I'm quite new to this but any advise out their would be nice. Thanks, |

| scaryfroman09-02-04, 04:35 PM | no, the quiver of ehlonna is just a glorified bag of holding. it does not produce or alter arrows. i'd say go for the bracers of archery, or glove of Dex. bracers improve attack and damage rolls. Bracers just attack, but might be a higher bonus. |
| tarkin09-02-04, 04:45 PM | Bracers of Archery is a good one. The Quiver of Anariel that Heaven was really thinking of is found on the WoTC web Site: CLick here to see the page on WoTC's Web site (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=books/fr/lonedrowstats) It says: Quiver of Anariel:Quivers of Anariel appear to be typical arrow containers capable of holding a score of arrows. However, the quivers automatically replenish themselves with standard or magical arrows, such that they are always full. Some quivers also create arrows made of special materials, such as adamantine, cold iron, or alchemical silver. Once an arrow it taken from the quiver, it must be used within 1 round or it vanishes. Moderate conjuration; CL 7th; Craft Wondrous Item, magic weapon, minor creation; Price 28,000 gp (standard arrows), 29,000 gp (masterwork arrows), 32,000 gp (+1 arrows), 44,000 gp (+2 arrows), 64,000 gp (+3 arrows), 92,000 gp (+4 arrows), 128,000 gp (+5 arrows); Add an additional +6,000 gp for adamantine arrows, +4,005 gp for cold iron arrows, or +200 gp for alchemical silver arrows; Weight 1 lb. The only problem it has is that it does not prevent multiple people from using the arrows. To prevent this munchkin uabuse, I House Rule that only the wearer can draw and use arrows from it and only the number of arrows he can fire that round. |

The Quiver of Anariel is nice, but way way way way too expensive to use. 28,000gps for unlimited regular arrows? Just buy a quiver of elhonna for the arrows you will fight with and a bag of holding for extra arrows to restock your quiver between fights. As an added bonus, your bag of holding can be used to store other gear. And this combo costs 4,300gps, plus the cost of normal arrows which is negligible. With the almost 24K you save, buy yourself a nice bow or other gear. Alternatively, explain to your DM why a Quiver of Anariel that produces normal arrows is in no way worth 28K. More like 2K. The versions that make magical arrows should be as expensive as listed, but for normal arrows a price tag of 28K is laughable. |
