WHY would I take an item that takes up a body slot then when I could just skip all that and make my ion stone be the main source of my power if thats the case. It would save me 10 times as much to do so this way. If the decision was mine I would have switch it around since most items for body slots tell you what bonuses fit and if the bonuses dont make sense you multiply them anyway. |
| Nom10-16-06, 07:22 AM | The "multiple similar abilities" text is badly named. It refers to things like staves, which grant either-or abilities rather than cumulative abilities. For example, a ring that triggered either cure light wounds or bless 3x/day would be priced at (1*1 + 1*1*0.75) * 1800 * 3/5 = 1.75 * 1080 = 1890 gp. A ring that triggered cure light wounds 3x/day and bless 3x/day would be priced at either 2 * 1080 or 1080 + 1080 * 1.5 = 2.5 * 1080 gp, depending on whether the GM judged it appropriate to apply the "multiple different abilities" penalty. |

MSA (Multiple Similar Abilities) All items that don't take up a body slot **AND** have chargest with multiple effects (the similar part) that can be used. This is for Staff like items. |
