Are natural weapons and regular weapons stackable? [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-04-05, 03:09 PM Can a monster use both their natural weapons and reg. weapons if there usage does not conflict?

For example, if a monster has natural weapons of bite/ claw/ claw and can use a club, could they attack bite/ club, or bite/claw/ club?

07-04-05, 03:32 PM They would attack Club/Bite/Claw, with the natural weapons as secondary attacks (-5 ot hit and 1/2 Str to damage) as a full attack. Read the sections of Natural Weapons in the Monster Manual.

07-04-05, 10:00 PM agreed. you can attack with a longsword at your normal bab (and itterative attacks) and your bite, tail attack and 1 claw at -5 (-2 if you have multiattack feat). Or you can two-weapon fight with both hands at -2, and use your teeth and tail attacks at -5. all attacks except your primary hand will do 0.5 x str bonus in bonus damage. Also note that natural attacks never (without specific non-core feats) do itterative attacks. Note that allowing dragons to weild melee weapons in their claws or anything dealing with thri-kreen gets confusing beyond belief (my old Savage Species two-headed lizardman with tailblade proficiency was a real challenge too).
