Are there any non-lethal damaging ranged weapons? [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-08-06, 10:23 PM I mean, it's easy enough to make an arrow with a blunt ball at the end of it, but I'm wondering if there's anything official.
If not, are there any feats that let you deal non-lethal damage with a ranged weapon?

08-09-06, 12:15 AM There were actually official stats for blunted arrows in a Dragon magazine some years back (and possibly more recent literature).

As far as other non-lethal ranged weaponry : nets, tanglefoot bags, bolas..

There are also feats like Ranged Pin to try and hold/subdue an opponent from a distance, and Subdual Substition metamagic to make your spells nonlethal.

Blunt arrows are in the Arms and Equipment guide and in Races of the Wild. They do non-lethal damage.

08-09-06, 05:33 PM the truncheon is a one-handed sap from the Book of Exalted Deeds. Also in BoED are the mancatcher, lasso, and some other non-lethal options.

08-09-06, 05:38 PM You can use a wrong size sap at -2 if you really need a bigger sap.

As far as core non lethal ranged weapons go you also look at Bolas.
