Are there magic items that improve Animal compainions or wild shape? If so, where can I find them? I would like to know because I am playing a Arcane Hierophant and and Would definately like a boost to either one of these.

Thanks

Don't know about current stuff but I would run some of the old Masters of the Wild stuff by your DM. Collar of Cleaverness, Coller of Resistance, Opposable weapons, and the Wilding Clasp.
Collar of Cleaverness X-- animal companion can learn X number of extra tricks
1 trick 700gp
2 tricks 1400gp
3 tricks 2100gp
Collar of Resistance-- animal companion gains +1 on all saves
+1 490gp
+2 1960gp
+3 4410gp
+4 7840gp
+5 12250gp
Opposable-- ability granted to a weapon allowing a creature with no opposable thumbs to carry the weapon with the potential of using it if they have the appropriate proficiencies +1 weapon bonus
Wilding Clasp-- clasped item won't meld into your wild shape form but will alter size and shape to be wearable and still usable by your animal form. 4000gp

I guess if your companion was a horse you could put magical barding on it like any other horse :P

The only item I can think of off the top of my head to help you in Wild Shape is armor with the Wild ability on it. This lets you keep your armor bonus to AC when wild shaped.

For the animal companions (although not really that good of an item imo), in Complete Adventurer there is a Collar of Obedience that lowers DCs of handle animal checks.

I'm sure there are more items out there that I don't know about.
