| Zookeeper07-03-06, 01:48 AM | Is there a formula for finding the speed reduction of Armor? I have a Centaur as a PC, that is buying a breastplate. His base speed is 50. The PHB has the speed for a base of 30 being at 20, and a base of 20 being 15. Seems like it boils down like this: Base Speed 10 10 20 15 30 20 40 25 50 30 60 35 Seems like base - ((base-10)/10)*5 or 50-(50-10)=40/10=4*5=20 or 50-20=reduced speed of 30. This seems like it might be correct if you follow the pattern started, but I have no idea if this is correct. Can someone enlighten me? Thanks. |

| Zookeeper07-04-06, 12:49 PM | Looks like the formula is: encumbered speed = base speed x .7, rounded to the nearest 5'. I was trying to figure out a formula. That helps but does not work for a base of 90'. 90*.7=63 and if rounded to nearest 5' should be 65. But that formula is the closest I have so far. Thanks. |
