| jalcee01-02-07, 09:10 AM | I know this topic has probably been discussed numerous times, but could somebody point me to a thread or a ruling about Armor Bonus stacking. Current issue: Does Bracers of Armor +1 stack with Full Plate +2? |
| Bocklin01-02-07, 09:15 AM | Hi jalcee, No they don't. :) Both boni are of the same type (in this case the type is "armor") and they overlap, but do not add with each other. It would be the same with a character wearing a regular Buckler (AC +1, type "shield") and casting the spell "Shield" (AC +4, type "shield"). Only the highest bonus apply. In some cases, it's worth wearing a regular armor and Bracers of Armor, though. If you expect to fight a lot of incorporeal foes (who can ignore your regular, non-force, armor bonus to AC). In that case the Bracers of Armor (who are made out of "force") would protect you but not your regular Armor. That's the only case I can think of where it would be worth keeping the Bracers.
