05-09-06, 06:53 PM OK masterwork armors reduce the armor check penalty by one. Special material (Mithril) says it reduces it by a certain amount as well. (3) It also says all armor made with the material is masterwork. Does that mean the listed bonus (3) already includes the bonus from masterwork or do they stack? So in this case does mithril actually only reduce the armor check by 2 while masterwork covers the other? Or would mithril armor technically reduce armor checks by 4? (3 from mithril 1 from masterwork) Any input appreciated.

check the stats for elfin chain, mithral shirt, and mithral fullplate of speed

If by some wierd, unholy wish, mithril armor was created that was not masterwork quality, it would reduce by 2, not 3.

By the way, the asnwers are correct. You might want to look into +1 Nimble Mithral Breastplate.
