Armor Class bonuses [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-23-04, 06:14 AM Hi all,

So just how many kinds of armor bonuses stack ? - I'm counting several like Armor, Enchantment, Dex, Shield (also with enchantment), deflection, maybe insight and so on ... how much armor can you get ?

Sorry if this question have already been answered, just need a quick and dirty magic item version for my 8th level warforged artificer :D

Dodge bonus, Circumstance bonus (unless they arise from the same circumstance), and unnamed bonuses stack with themselves.

10-23-04, 10:19 AM Check out the Character Optimization Board. Man are they nuts over there. They will come up with some very nasty items for you. And occasionally they even follow the rules. :)

...damn this is just insane :eek: it seems that you can get just about any AC you like ...

Then someone uses a touch attack on you, or makes themselves invisible and ignores your Dex/wisdom/int bonus to AC,

or just slams you with a spell/special ability that has no to hit and you are destroyed.

10-23-04, 11:42 PM High AC doesn't really stop a Sphere of Annihilation.

If you're a diety, you get a divine bonus to AC equal to your divine rank.
