Armor enchantment or Wondrous Item [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-29-07, 03:34 AM Does anyone know of either an enchantment or an item that can make a suit of armor shrink down for easy storage but have some command word to restore it and have it already donned? (like poof, necklace with Armor charm, poof again, wearing neato armor and ready to fight!)

11-29-07, 03:46 AM The only item I can think of is a wondrous item that's like a Heward's Handy Haversack, but made to hold a single suit of armor for easy storage. I can't remember what book I saw it in, so I'll have to go digging around for it.

11-29-07, 04:12 AM You can have called armour that jumps onto your body when activated.

There is also a suit of Tesselated Full Plate the is made up of little pieces in a box that flow together around you when activated to form a souit of armour.

11-29-07, 08:41 AM try Ring of arming (Mic page 122) it does the trick, there is calling that can bring it too you once. the ring is great for are partys Dwarfen fighter/rogue he loves it in and out of his full plate at will

11-29-07, 09:47 AM Thanks everyone. I think that will help me very much. I'm playing a wizard and I wanna use this armor for when I polymorph and can't use spells. :D

11-29-07, 10:20 AM Calling Armor property, from the MIC. Teleports it to you, and equips it when it does.

11-29-07, 09:29 PM Sectioned Plate from the Planar Handbook & a Haversack will get you part of the way there. Sectioned plate is armor that you can remove some, but not all of, taking it from heavy to medium to light. Store the peices you remove in your haversack. It still takes time to don, but you can enchant one suit of armor, but 'reduce' it to light when you need sleep, move silently, or whatever. Add the Calling Enchantment and you should be able to don it as light, and later 'call' the rest.

11-30-07, 01:47 AM Hey thanks. My goal is to "primal form" into an earth elemental and call a suit of Mechanus Gear armor onto my new form. Then proceed to clobber my foes with my neato Jovar! I love planar forms!

Glammered Armour does this, except you are always wearing the armour.
