I currently have a mithral full plate +5 armor on my cleric. He still moves at 30, but with boots, now 30. THing is , his dex bonus is +_3 which he is currently at on his modifiers. Is there a better armor out there, that is better suited for a LG cleric. Also, my dm follows the kalemar pantheon and doesnt allow any books outside of WOTC straight, so no faerun, or kalemar books, except pantheon, or raven... and such. I did notice somewhere i think it was angel shirt or angel wing armor, it is +8/+dex bonus, is considered light armor, fits under your shirt or soemthing like that, and allows to fly.. don't remember where its located. :P

Essentially, im trying to get eh largest bonus for my cleric to his ac, the only other way i see of doing this is possibly taking a level of a class getting his wisdom modifier to his ac and having bracers of armor somehow... my mod is a 11 currently at 18th level.

thanks.

The 'angel' armor you are referring to is Celestial Armor (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/magicArmor.htm#celestialArmor).

Take a look at this list of magic items (http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/magicItems.htm), particularly the Ring of Protection and Amulet of Natural Armor.

Also, note that the d20srd.org free online 3.5 SRD (http://www.d20srd.org/index.htm) is an excellent source to check before asking questions such as these.

It's a fairly expensive route, but if you can do it, I recommend it.

If you can get your WIS bonus up to at least +4, then ditch your armor, get a Monk's Belt (13,000g), and Bracers of Armor +8 (64,000). That's as much AC bonus as +5 Full Plate, and has no maximum DEX bonus (so pump up your DEX as well), and your touch AC is 5 higher. As an additional bonus, your speed will be 40 with those boots, and you won't have to worry about any encumbrance rules. All this for a total cost of 77,000g, compared to 35,500g for +5 Mithral Full Plate. Roughly double the price, but you are then free to scale your AC with your WIS and DEX scores as high as you can get them. It also leaves your Body slot open for a robe.

EDIT: I just noticed your note that you have a +11 to WIS (at least, I think that's what you meant). In that case, a Monk's Belt and Bracers of Armor +1 will give you an AC bonus equivalent to +5 Full Plate. Looks like this is easily your best option.

I have a ring of protection and natural armor, and sacred bonus of +2 from an amulet of retributive damage and such, and a shield and such and a ioun stone .... my Dm doesn't allow monks belt for non-monk characters due to it being a "broken" item. Hes somewhat stubborn about this. He thinks that if it doesn't makes sense or its too bias towards mini/and maxing than the character is cheesing. I was wondering as to what the best armor would be. I understand that bracer's of armor are best but without the monks belt, im kinda screwed.:(

Actually, I think you are at your peak. Unless you want Mechanus Gear (Planar handbook?) you can't really upgrade it more. Now, what specifics can you tell us about the rest of your gear?

Agreed. Unless they upgrade to Battle Plate or Mountain Plate (both Exotic armors from Races of Stone, plus Mountain Plate restricts movement even further than Heavy armor) or if they want Adamantine instead of Mithral, that's as good as it gets.
